Inaruwa – Bhokraha Narsingh Rural Municipality of Sunsari has achieved a significant breakthrough after successfully recovering a previously stalled budget of approximately NPR 30 million, giving new momentum to local development projects.
The achievement followed a special meeting held today between Rural Municipality Chairperson Ajmal Akhtar Azad and the incumbent Finance Minister, which concluded on a positive and productive note.
According to Chairperson Azad, several development plans had been halted due to financial constraints after the allocated budget was returned or frozen in the past. The rural municipality had been making continuous efforts to resolve the issue, which ultimately resulted in the reinstatement of the budget, making it operational once again.
During the meeting, an official agreement was also signed between the Rural Municipality and the Ministry of Finance regarding budget implementation for necessary development projects. This agreement is expected to ensure that the budget is no longer limited to policy documents but translated into tangible development works on the ground.
On the occasion, the Finance Minister assured priority support for key sectors in Bhokraha Narsingh, including road infrastructure, agriculture, education, drinking water, and basic public facilities. He also expressed commitment to providing additional budgetary support in the future based on necessity and justification.
Chairperson Azad expressed confidence that the government’s positive cooperation would help strengthen and accelerate the rural municipality’s development efforts in the coming years, making them more result-oriented.
Local residents have welcomed the development, viewing it as a “major turning point” for the long-term growth and progress of Bhokraha Narsingh Rural Municipality.
